The VF! culture – where teamwork and having fun is key
Sometimes, without reason or rational, we just feel like doing something fun, something challenging and something memorable. From time to time the team takes some time out to walk up Lion’s Head to see the sun rise. Although it’s always planned, it’s voluntary; some forget, some sleep late, but the die-hards manage the climb to the top! And the view and the experience are always magnificent! We use this as a time to connect, to get to know each other better, and to forge and deepen relationships, which make working together so much more enjoyable.
Did you know?
Lion’s Head is one of the major tourist attractions in Cape Town and was recently named, by National Geographic, as one of the top twenty walks in the world. The Lion’s Head hiking trail is just short of a 13km round-trip and can take about three to four hours to complete. As part of the Table Mountain National Park, it is covered in natural fynbos vegetation and is also of great historical significance for the Cape Malay community, with a number of graves and shrines of Malay leaders on the slopes.
To build and protect our culture at VF!, we promote team activities and believe in inclusivity.
